Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports: The Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is established by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to define, develop, implement, and evaluate a multi-tiered approach to Technical Assistance that improves the capacity of states, districts and schools to establish, scale-up and sustain the PBIS framework. Emphasis is given to the impact of implementing PBIS on the social, emotional and academic outcomes for students with disabilities.

Early Childhood Behavior Support Essentials Training
1. The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) is focused on promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5. CSEFEL is a national resource center funded by the Office of Head Start and Child Care Bureau for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to early childhood programs across the country.
2. Arkansas Early Childhood Behavior Support Portal. Early childhood education in Arkansas is a collaborative effort of many unique programs, agencies, and guidelines. These agencies share the combined mindset that social emotional learning is essential to the development of our young children. Social emotional learning consists of a child's ability to identify, manage, and express emotions. This site combines the social, emotional and behavioral knowledge and resources provided through many local agencies in an effort to create a comprehensive reflection point for all early childhood educators within our state.
3. The National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI) is funded by the Office of Special Education Programs provides all its services with the goal of promoting the positive social, emotional and behavioral outcomes of young children (birth through five), reducing the use of inappropriate discipline practices, increasing the inclusion and ongoing participation of young children with disabilities in early childhood settings, and the promotion of family engagement. NCPMI provides support in implementing the Pyramid Model framework with fidelity through: practical guidance, professional development materials and trainings, tools and informational resources,technical assistance partnerships for targeted state needs for pyramid model implementation within inclusive programs, intensive technical assistance partnerships to build state and local capacity for Pyramid Model implementation and scale-up within inclusive programs.
Early Childhood Behavior Support Additional Training
1. The UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine (DFPM). The Research and Evaluation Division specializes in early childhood development and has many projects to train child-care providers. Each division plays a valuable role in educating future physicians, current physicians, and other health care professionals in Arkansas and beyond.
2 . Teaching Important Parenting Skills. (TIPS) for Great Kids is an innovative, and exciting parenting education program for parents of children ages birth to 5 years. TIPS is dedicated to improving the outcomes for children in school and in life. TIPS offers useful, practical information that leads to successful outcomes for children.
3. UAMS. More than 10,000 children in Arkansas are exposed to physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, sexual exploitation, or abandonment every year. These cases of maltreatment can result in trauma. ARBEST’s Mission is to improve outcomes for traumatized children and their families in Arkansas through excellence in clinical care, training, advocacy, and research.
4. ArkansasIDEAS. connects K-12 educators with quality, ADE-approved professional development and educational opportunities, as well as a wide range of training's on multiple platforms, thousands of classroom resources, and state and national initiatives, such as STEM and TESS.
5. Arkansas Traveling Professional Development Registry. The Registry web site includes training opportunities for all registered training agencies across the state. Online registration can be done quickly! Check for training Opportunities by Location, date, or topic.
6. The IRIS Center. Resource center that provides materials including interactive challenge-based Modules, Case Studies, Activities, Information Briefs, Research Summaries, Video Vignettes, and more on a variety of topics including FBA, BIP, and data collection.
7. Welcome The Children Project. Professional development by Arkansas Department of Education and Arkansas Professional Development Registry. Workshops provided on cultural diversity, inclusion, and communication.
