Students at the 5-8 ALE Campus in Conway decided to give back to the community by brainstorming ways to help out. They came up with helping the homeless, volunteering at animal shelters, food drives, cleaning up litter, and volunteering at the nursing home. After they voted, they decided to go with helping the residents at a nearby nursing home or rather the nursing home residents helping them. The students wrote letters to the their elders asking for advice on various topics. Their "elder buddy" wrote them back! What a great way to span a couple of generations! #yourBESTsolution #ArchFordServes

Students at the Conway HUB campus contributed to Project Linus, which is an organization that makes blankets and quilts for children in need. After getting the go-ahead from the organization for them to be donors, they became “blanketeers.” This project allowed the Conway HUB students to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
It also provided a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children. If you want to know more about Project Linus, go to the following website. http://www.projectlinus.org #yourBESTsolution #ArchFordServes
