two short garden beds and one large

Arch Ford ESC was recently awarded three garden beds as part of the Vego Garden's Giving Back program. These beds are located in the Arch Ford Learning Garden and are being used to expand the garden beyond the asphalt area. We have plans to grow vining vegetables such as watermelons and pumpkins in the lower beds, and an assortment of flowers including daffodils and tulips in the larger bed.

With help from Master Gardener Tonya Musial and Cindy Thornton, the beds have already been assembled and are ready for filling! The primary goal of our Learning Garden is to provide a place of learning and growth for educators who are attending sessions at Arch Ford ESC, as well as a place for teachers to bring students for field trips. We grow an assortment of vegetables and native plants to encourage both educators and students to eat healthier and also learn about the mental health benefits of gardening.
